Our High Schools
Our Mission
To educate and inspire young minds spiritually, academically and in service to others.
Our Vision
For students to become faith-filled adults who, guided by Gospel values, shape our world with knowledge, integrity and compassion.

South Jersey Catholic high school students use the words home and family to describe their schools. Students broaden their knowledge and skills, develop academic discipline and lasting friendships, and deepen their commitment to values that are consistent with those that they live at home. Our formula for success includes strong academic programs, outstanding sports, arts, and other competitive and non-competitive extracurricular activities, experienced, caring, and committed faculty, and sacraments, daily prayer, and a strong Religion curriculum.
The Diocese of Camden hosts three independent Catholic high schools within its boundaries: Bishop Eustace Preparatory School, Our Lady of Mercy Academy and St. Augustine Preparatory School. These independent Catholic schools operate with the permission of the Bishop but develop and follow their own individual policies and curriculum, separate from the Office of Catholic Schools.

Tuition and need-based tuition assistance
Tuition rates vary from school to school but generally cover approximately 80-90% of the cost of attendance. The rest of the cost is made up through fundraising, gifts to the school, and grants received. To find the tuition rates for a particular school, please visit its website or contact the school directly.
While our schools strive to make a quality Catholic education affordable for all, we understand that tuition can be a financial hardship for some families. Each high school offers need-based tuition assistance determined by an independent third party.
To find out if your family is eligible, contact your chosen high school to receive instructions for completing a tuition assistance application. One application can be completed and sent to multiple schools.
merit based scholarships
Each high school offers various merit-based scholarships in addition to need-based tuition assistance. Scholarships are earned for excellence in academics, the arts, community engagement, and other areas. Some scholarships also include a need component. Catholic schools are prohibited from offering scholarships for athletics.
For more information regarding scholarships at any school, visit its website or call the school for more information.
High School Placement Test (HSPT)
The High School Placement Test is a comprehensive placement test for eighth graders for placement in the ninth grade. It is designed to measure scholastic aptitude in verbal and non-verbal abilities, and achievement in reading mathematics, and language.
Many of the South Jersey Catholic high schools utilize the HSPT to award academic scholarships as well as assist in academic placement and scheduling.
The HSPT will take place on Saturday, October 25th at 10:00 a.m. at all participating high schools. Students will have the ability to choose the location where they will take the test and share the results with any Diocesan high school where they have applied.
Registration link for the HSPT will be available on all participating high schools’ websites beginning in August.
If a student cannot attend the November 4th date, make-up dates will be available at each high school. Contact the school of choice for the specific date, time and location.
Open Houses
Throughout the year, high schools open their doors for potentials students and their families to visit the high school to learn more about academics, athletics, extra-curricular activities and more. Check our events page or the individual high school’s website for upcoming dates.

At each school, the prospective student will be paired with a current student, visit different classes, meet with administration, and based on their preferences, see additional parts of the school.

Curriculum
South Jersey Catholic Schools believe in educating the whole student. Our schools follow rigorous curriculum guidelines established by the Diocese of Camden Office of Catholic Education. These guidelines build on the strong academic tradition of Catholic schools, incorporate national and state curriculum standards, and allow us to bring the Gospel message of Jesus into all facets of learning. Within and beyond diocesan guidelines, our schools offer a wide range of courses that allow students to develop a world view, explore potential careers, build on critical thinking skills, and of course, have fun along the way.
To learn more about the curriculum at each individual school, visit their website or contact them directly.
