Advancement Director: Enrollment and Fundraising

The Advancement Director starts with a mission-driven passion for Catholic education and ensuring that all parents are able to exercise their right to choose a school for their children.

On this foundation, the Advancement Director brings the core skills of communication, relationship building, and organization to the following tasks:

Enrollment

  • Develop regular online and social media content to ensure that parents know the benefits and programs available to their children at Our Lady Star of the Sea;
  • Introduce families to Our Lady Star of the Sea with 1:1 tours, personalized follow-up, availability to answer questions, and tracking prospects from inquiry through enrollment;
  • Identify new and expanded ways to share the benefits of an Our Lady Star of the Sea education to new, varied, and diverse families.

Fundraising

  • Manage relationships with current and potential donors to support scholarships for tuition assistance and other gifts and donations to support the school, its programs, and its students;
  • Plan and coordinate major fundraising events to cultivate sponsorship, engagement, and financial support for the school;
  • Share opportunities to invest in Our Lady Star of the Sea and its students with potential donors, supporters, and partners;
  • Identify potential grant opportunities that align with the school’s mission and work with the principal to pursue them.

Enrollment and fundraising are critical to the success of any Catholic school. The Advancement Director supports the school principal and pastor in ensuring the health and success of the school’s efforts in these areas.
